3. Estimates & Pricing

Estimates provided by First Chantz Tree Service LLC are based on the information supplied by the customer and an assessment of the property and requested work. Final pricing may change if additional work is required due to unforeseen circumstances, such as hidden tree damage, difficult site access, hazardous conditions, underground obstructions, or additional debris removal.

Any significant changes to the agreed scope of work or pricing will be communicated to the customer for approval before the additional work proceeds, except where immediate action is reasonably necessary to address an urgent safety concern and is permitted by law.

4. Scheduling & Cancellation

First Chantz Tree Service LLC makes reasonable efforts to complete services according to the agreed schedule. However, tree service work may be delayed or rescheduled due to severe weather, unsafe working conditions, equipment issues, emergencies, permit requirements, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

For cancellations or rescheduling requests, customers should contact us at least 48 hours before the scheduled service whenever possible. Any applicable cancellation fees or other charges will be disclosed in the estimate or service agreement.

We reserve the right to postpone or stop work when conditions present an unreasonable safety risk to our crew, the customer, neighboring properties, or the public.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate property information, identifying known hazards, and ensuring that our crew has reasonable access to the work area.

Before work begins, customers should, where applicable:

  • Move vehicles, outdoor furniture, equipment, and other personal belongings away from the work area.

  • Keep children, pets, and unauthorized individuals away from active work zones.

  • Inform us of known underground utilities, irrigation systems, septic systems, property boundaries, and other potential hazards.

  • Obtain any property-owner approvals, homeowners' association approvals, or other permissions that are the customer's responsibility under the service agreement.

  • Disclose known access restrictions or conditions that could affect the work.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, customers are responsible for moving personal belongings and securing items near the work area. First Chantz Tree Service LLC is not responsible for pre-existing damage or damage resulting from undisclosed hazards or customer failure to follow reasonable safety instructions, to the extent permitted by law.

6. Tree Work, Property Conditions, and Cleanup

Tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, and related work involve inherent risks, including falling branches, flying debris, heavy equipment, and potential impacts to nearby structures, landscaping, fences, driveways, and underground features.

First Chantz Tree Service LLC will use reasonable care and appropriate work practices when performing services. However, certain risks may remain due to the nature of the work and existing site conditions.

The scope of debris removal, hauling, stump grinding depth, backfilling, and final cleanup will be determined by the written estimate or service agreement. Unless expressly included, services such as replacement landscaping, fence repair, soil restoration, and removal of all wood chips or mulch may be excluded from the agreed price.

Customers should discuss specific cleanup and restoration expectations with us before work begins.

7. Permits, Utilities, and Property Access

Some tree services may require permits, approvals, utility coordination, or compliance with local ordinances. Responsibility for obtaining permits or approvals will be determined by the service agreement and applicable law.

Customers must disclose known underground utilities and other site hazards. Where applicable, required utility-locating procedures should be completed before excavation or stump grinding begins.

First Chantz Tree Service LLC may delay work until necessary permits, utility clearances, permissions, or safety measures are in place.

8.Warranties & Guarantees

First Chantz Tree Service LLC aims to provide professional, reliable tree care services. Any specific warranties or service guarantees will be stated in the applicable written estimate, contract, or service agreement.

Unless expressly agreed in writing, tree services do not guarantee that a tree will remain healthy, survive, or be free from future disease, decay, storm damage, or falling branches. Tree growth, weather, pests, and other natural conditions are outside our control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any warranty, right, or protection that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, First Chantz Tree Service LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or the performance of our services.

Any limitation of liability will apply only to the extent permitted by law and will not exclude or limit liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited, including liability that cannot legally be waived.
